This
study
examines
the
relationship
between
CEO
career
variety,
digital
knowledge
base
extension,
and
transformation
in
a
M&A
context.
An
empirical
test
was
conducted
using
regression
analysis
with
events
of
new
generation
information
technology
firms
China
as
research
sample.
The
results
reveal
that
variety
has
positive
effect
on
context
knowledge-base
extension
plays
mediating
role.
Moreover,
heterogeneity
impact
indicated
moderating
effects
geographical
distance,
disparity,
cultural
difference
target
acquirer
above
relationships
vary
greatly:
distance
negative
effect,
both
are
realized
through
effects,
but
none
disparity
significant.
