To
understand
the
slow
adoption
of
blockchain
technology
by
organisations,
we
conduct
a
systematic
literature
review
factors
using
mixed-methods
approach.
Using
thematic
analysis,
880

identified
and
grouped
into
29
themes,
which
offer
comprehensive
overview
literature.

Themes
further
classified
as
barriers

describe

We

Analysis
research
trends
shows
that
recent
has
focused
on
elaborating
upon
existing
themes
(involution)
rather
than
developing
new
(evolution).
Based
our
analyses,
propose
future
directions,
including
scrutinising
interdependence
factors,
examining
with
conditional
or
unclear
effects
adoption,
broadening
contextual,
temporal,
theoretical
aspects
research.
