Nanocellulose, which a one-dimensional structure, has excellent physical and chemical properties, such as renewability, degradability, sound mechanical good biocompatibility, indicating promising applications in modern industry, particularly packaging. This article introduces nanocellulose, followed its extraction methods preparation of relevant composite films. Abstract Time–temperature indicators (TTIs) can visually reflect the remaining shelf life of various products, especially in cold chain transportation, by taking consideration both time and temperature influences. Though TTIs have been developed, few commercialized. This review aims at providing a timely reference to scientific community valuable guidance for future design boost commercialization. firstly introduces general principle models including key parameters reaction rate constants, activation energies energy matching. Then, four classical types covering diffusion‐based, polymer‐based, enzyme‐based, microbial are introduced regarding their working mechanisms, advantages disadvantages as well commercialized TTI products examples.
