Disturbances may cause several changes in physiological, behavioral and demographic parameters of organisms, which translate into community structure ecosystem functioning.Little is known about the effects fire on physiological parameters, how these affect population dynamics persistence.Considering current climate change anthropogenic pressures, has become more intense frequent Brazilian biomes, including Cerrado.In this sense, it urgent to assess organism's physiology, especially metrics that reflect nutritional state.We used a longitudinal database (9 years) test body condition tree rat Rhipidomys macrurus at Estação Ecologica do Panga (Uberlandia/MG).The sex climatic season were also tested.Overall, we failed corroborate our hypothesis, as was not affected by repeated fires.Several mechanisms account for result: 1) reduced intraspecific competition after events, due abrupt rodent density, 2) acting selective agent, leading increased mortality individuals with lower reserves, 3) adoption strategies compensate energy loss hence help minimize negative impacts condition.Furthermore, other variables associated individual fitness be fires than condition.Our results contribute theory reliable indicator habitat quality disturbance, well health.
