Apples are a healthy and environmentally friendly snack, but the consumption of apples in many countries, including Norway, has decreased last fifteen years. This trend potential negative impact on public health environment. In this paper, we use consumer survey random effect ordered logistic regression model to find out what is most important for people when they buy apples. Ten different values considered ranked according individual’s importance. We that taste safety average choice apples, while appearance type apple rank third. The least wrapping size regional origin. Everyday eaters more concerned about pesticide less price than consumers. Furthermore, compared consumer, those with low levels trust producers authorities care pesticides production methods, consumers high level these aspects. Our results indicate increase Norwegian it maintain or improve their reputation as being tasty safe eat.
