Abstract Today’s world requires new approaches to innovation that leverage continuous testing and pivoting. Speed the ability respond exogenous shocks are becoming increasingly important in both theory practice. Following introduction of Agile Manifesto 2001, a wide range industries have adopted agile approaches, which differ from other ways managing projects by promoting flexibility rapid development solutions. Despite proliferation across industries, literature lacks systematic understanding their underlying elements. Therefore, we conduct review using text mining technique longitudinally explore evolutionary dynamics field. Analyzing results through dichotomous lens contingency configuration theories, show can be systematized into two perspectives: agile-as-a-tool perspective, agile-as-a-culture perspective. Our reveals underexplored intersections field provides interesting insights these perspectives. We also propose research agenda shed light on emerging perspectives management literature.

Abstract Competence-based approaches have received increased attention, as the demand for qualified people with right combination of competences establishes itself a major factor organizational performance. This paper examines how can be incorporated into Enterprise Architecture modeling: (i) we identify key set competence-related concepts such knowledge, skills, and attitudes, (ii) analyze relate them using reference ontology (grounded on Unified Foundational Ontology), (iii) propose representation strategy modeling their constituent elements leveraging ArchiMate language, discussing proposed models fit in enterprise competence-based practices. Our approach is intended to cover two tasks relevant combined application Competence Modeling: ‘zooming in’ competences, revealing relations between attitudes other personal characteristics that matter performance, out’ placing wider context overall capabilities.
