Abstract Conservation triage is an evolving strategy designed to allocate limited resources address pressures that require urgent actions due their consequences on biodiversity and essential ecosystem services for human well‐being. This perspective proposes a structured, ethical inclusive conservation triage‐based framework efficiently addressing socio‐ecological requirements in conservation, leveraging resources. Based three main pillars—conservation planning, policy governance co‐production of knowledge—our goal promote as pragmatic comprehensive approach. We explore the application principles Chile, following recent establishment Human Well‐being programme, science‐based initiative promoting Chile's unique informing development policies. Synthesis applications . offers guidance scientists practitioners how prioritize efforts while taking resource constraints into account when navigating triage. It emphasizes crucial it integrate issues, fostering decision‐making process enriched by diverse perspectives collaborative knowledge co‐production. Through alignment strategic allocation with aspects, this approach insights developing equitable well‐balanced outcomes are transferable other geographical environmental settings.
