Abstract
Biodiversity
is
an
essential
component
for
ecosystem
functioning
and
stability,
with
numerous
biotic
interactions
complementarity
playing
important
roles.
The
complexity
of
these
relationships
can
be
seen
in
both
above‐
belowground
ecosystems
understanding
intricate
between
biodiversity
(BEF)
critical
to
ecological
research,
especially
the
context
rapidly
changing
global
environments.
This
review
synthesizes
contemporary
research
fundamental
insights
into
BEF
linkages,
a
particular
emphasis
on
function
plant‐microbial
shaping
aboveground
their
cascading
effects
processes.

most
significant
developments
