Geothermal energy could play a pivotal role in decarbonisation as it can provide clean, constant base-load which is weather independent. With growing demand for clean and improved security, geothermal resources must be quantified to reduce exploration risk. This study aims quantify the untapped resource-potential of Cornubian Batholith resource power generation direct heat use. Recent field work, laboratory measurements petrophysical characterization provides newly compiled dataset inclusive subsurface samples taken from production well United Downs Deep Power Project. Deterministic probabilistic calculations are undertaken evaluate the: total place, recoverable resource, technical potential carbon savings. The considered petrothermal system may require stimulation an enhanced system. shows batholith has significant stored 8988 EJ (P50), corresponding 366 556 GWth.
