Aims To identify, evaluate and summarize all published literature that investigated manipulations to pharmaceutical dosage forms of psychotropic medications could be used for the purposes tapering. Methods A systematic review was carried out available on performed obtain a decreased dose active ingredient. The electronic databases searched were: MEDLINE, Web Science, EMBASE, PsycINFO CINAHL. Ten included reported mean target recovery within 95–105% range after performed. which dilution an oral ( n = 4) results this percentage range. None accuracy across full tapering schedule. Conclusion This limited amount research different manipulating medications. Diluting achieve lower doses merits further investigation. Further comparing is also required determine best approach doses.
