Purpose Despite rapid advancements in information and communication technology (ICT) service innovations, many peer-to-peer accommodation (PPA) platforms struggle to quickly translate these innovations into effective use (EU). Drawing on engagement theory, we examine the role of ICT innovation consumer EU PPA platform. Design/methodology/approach We empirically validate model using a multimethod approach, including an instrument development study online field survey. Findings Incremental radical positively influence consumers’ emotional, cognitive behavioral engagement, which further facilitates their Originality/value These empirical findings offer theoretical insights provide practical guidance for optimizing under innovation.
