This study explores the use of digital simulations in STEM education, addressing gap systematic reviews synthesizing recent advancements and their implications for teaching learning by focusing on impact outcomes student engagement across general special education settings. The review includes 31 peer-reviewed empirical studies published last five years, sourced from ERIC, Scopus, Web Science, adheres to PRISMA methodology ensure transparency rigor. findings reveal that interactive are most widely used type tool, accounting 25 studies, followed game-based virtual labs. Quasi-experimental designs dominate research landscape, often employing pre- post-tests evaluate intervention effectiveness. While inquiry-based emerges as frequently implemented instructional strategy, hybrid simulation-based approaches also feature prominently. Despite evident benefits enhancing conceptual understanding, engagement, problem-solving skills, gaps remain, particularly regarding application primary contexts. underscores need diverse methodologies broader population maximize potential education.

Digital technology has become increasingly prevalent in higher education classrooms. However, the impact of different types and use frequencies digital on college students’ classroom engagement can vary substantially. This study aims to develop an interpretable machine learning model predict student based various technologies construct a structural equation (SEM) further investigate underlying mechanisms involving perceived usefulness (PU), ease (PEU), academic self-efficacy (ASE). Nine algorithms were employed predictive models, rank importance tools, identify optimal for engagement. A total 1158 eligible Chinese university students participated this study. The results indicated that subject-specific software, management websites, mobile devices identified as key factors influencing Interaction effect analyses revealed significant synergistic effects between software identifying them primary determinants SEM demonstrated usage frequency indirectly influenced through PU, PEU, ASE, with both PU ASE well PEU playing chain-mediated roles. findings underscore integrating tools strategically PE classrooms enhance These insights offer practical implications institutions policymakers.

ABSTRACT In this study, 364 foreign language learners were selected to deeply investigate the synergistic effects of teacher support and learning engagement on academic achievement using path model fsQCA methods. The findings reveal that: (i) positively influences through mediating role each sub‐dimension engagement; (ii) emotional has a positive impact cognitive engagement, behavioral respectively; (iii) instrumental (iv) sub‐dimensions form four configurations for more likely promoting high achievement, which suggests that greater emphasis needs be placed optimization roles different targeted teacher's supports in conjunction with their synergy good performance. This study can help gain deeper understanding complex mechanisms between theoretical practical significance education.

Abstract This study explores design strategies that designers adapt in different environments and assesses cognitive load associated with acquiring, comprehending, implementing concept product phase. The findings from qualitative quantitative analyses show the traditional environment exhibits a greater intrinsic load, thereby fostering diversity of ideas, strategies, solutions. digitally-mediated demonstrates extraneous resulting tendency towards similarity
