Abstract
Background
To
enhance
the
precision
of
measuring,
analyzing,
and
forecasting
care
needs
for
older
adults
with
physical
and/or
mental
disabilities,
we
developed
Physical
Disability
Index
(PDI)
Mental
(MDI).
Furthermore,
evaluated
reliability
validity
PDI
MDI.
Additionally,
investigate
their
associations
falls
to
further
indicate
predictive
validity.
Methods
A
total
11
621
(53.1%
women;
mean
age
=
83.2;
SD
10.8)
from
23
provinces
in
China
were
investigated
2017–2018
assess
MDI
among
aged
65
105.
Among
which,
6
071
both
baseline
(2017–2018)
follow-up
(2021)
data
included
analyses
evaluate

Cronbach’s

was

subgroups.
Our
results
support

disability
comorbid
are
associated
a
higher
risk
falls.
Conclusions

instruments
