This study evaluated telerehabilitation-supported exercises' effects on pain, neck disability, anxiety, oral behaviors, and sleep quality in patients with Temporomandibular Disorders associated probable bruxism (TMDs-SB). During the COVID-19 pandemic (March 2021-May 2022), 40 aged 18-65 TMDs-SB were randomized to a telerehabilitation (n = 20) or home exercise groups. Both received education exercises; group supervised 30-minute weekly WhatsApp video sessions for eight weeks. Outcomes assessed at baseline groups improved significantly all outcomes from eight-week follow-up (p < .05). Telerehabilitation showed greater reductions morning jaw pain .012), disability .032), trait anxiety .028), behaviors .001) versus exercises. Sleep similarly both .154). effectively reduced symptoms, offering promising alternative unsupervised exercises during pandemic. Given this unique context, conducting studies outside pandemic's conditions would enhance generalizability clarify telerehabilitation's potential. Further are needed confirm its efficacy beyond conditions.

ABSTRACT Background Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) are conditions that involve the temporomandibular joints, masticatory muscles, and associated tissues, causing orofacial pain. Central sensitisation (CS) is a relevant part of TMD pathophysiology. Migraine, psychological aspects, parafunctional oral habits widespread pain commonly with both CS could confound association between them.
