Background: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a significant health issue because of its aggressive nature and poor prognosis during the advanced stages. Exosomal biomarkers have emerged as promising entities for facilitating an enhanced existing assessment diagnosis in OSCC, particularly monitoring noninvasive behavior tumors. The authors tried to assess potential role these exosomal OSCC through this systematic review. Methods: Seven databases, PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, ProQuest, were searched systematically. Boolean operators, along with MeSH terms, utilized refining search strings retrieve appropriate studies. included studies focusing on derived from tissues or lines, emphasis their prognostic. Results: We 7 that probed miRNAs, lncRNAs, proteins exosomes. A few particular such miR-155, miR-21, miR-126, miR-130a showed correlation patients' outcomes progression OSCC. These miRNAs continuously association pathways having activities related promotion tumor growth, regulation immune system, angiogenesis. Interestingly, like Arginase-1 CKAP4 demonstrated significance metastasis via exosomes could be exploited risk metastasis. Another group lncRNAs screened contents has opened exciting possibility uncovering functions noncoding RNAs pathogenesis Conclusions: Our results conclude biomarkers, including proteins, great improve accuracy thus Some proven instrumental non-invasive diagnostics, whereas more informative concerning complicated mechanisms progression. above inconsistency molecular targets between indicates play complex future should focus combining different types further enhancement clinical applications management patients.

Background: This systematic review aims to assess the effectiveness of 3D occlusal splints (OS) for managing pain and improving maximum mouth opening in temporomandibular joint disorders (TMDs) via randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Materials Methods: Searches were conducted PUBMED, SCOPUS, COCHRANE library. Eligible studies evaluated risk bias (RoB) by two reviewers based on predetermined criteria: generation random sequences, implementation single-operator protocol, inclusion a control group, blinding testing machine operator, uniformity sample preparation, evaluation failure modes, adherence manufacturer's instructions materials, explanation size calculation. If author provided information about examined parameter, study was categorized as having "YES." Conversely, if absent, parameter marked "NO." The RoB each then determined according total number "YES" responses: 1 3 indicated high RoB, 4-6 signified medium risk, 7 8 low RoB. Out 14 articles, 5 RCTs underwent qualitative analysis. Results: Results indicate that OS therapy effectively manages TMD-related reduces TMJ clicking. Additionally, it improves patients with initial limitations. Better symptom management correlates improved quality life TMD sufferers. Conclusions: Further comparative clinical are necessary due remaining uncertainties regarding how specific design fabrication methods may impact outcomes.

ABSTRACT Background Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is a prevalent condition characterised by repeated episodes of partial or complete obstruction the upper airway during sleep, leading to disrupted and associated morbidities. Orthognathic surgery (OGS) has been proposed as treatment option for OSAS, aimed at anatomically repositioning maxillofacial structures alleviate obstruction. This systematic review meta‐analysis evaluate efficacy OGS in reducing apnea‐hypopnea index (AHI) Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) scores among OSAS patients. Methods We conducted comprehensive literature search across multiple databases studies assessing outcomes patients, focusing on changes AHI ESS scores. The inclusion criteria encompassed observational studies, cohort randomised control trials. Data extraction quality assessment were performed independently two reviewers. Random‐effects was utilised pool mean differences (MD) preoperatively postoperatively, with 95% confidence intervals (CI) calculated. Results A total 8 met criteria, where shown be slightly more effective correcting than other modalities assessed, primarily CPAP. pooled MD demonstrated significant reduction post‐OGS (MD = 29.84, CI: 14.17–45.50, p < 0.0001) substantial heterogeneity ( I 2 95%). For ESS, indicated non‐significant 1.91, −1.29 5.12, 0.24) high 81%). Conclusion appears an intervention patients suggesting potential improve objective measures apnea. However, effect subjective sleepiness scores, evaluated not statistically significant. warrants individualised patient when considering OSAS.
