Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus, led to a worldwide pandemic. There were unprecedented changes in mental health of children, adolescents, and youth age group 8-18 years as result COVID-19. The objective this review is identify direct indirect factors that influenced these changes. We identified three main groups could have impacted young people during pandemic: (i) familial factors, (ii) social educational (iii) positive variables. Our suggests COVID-19 pandemic negatively children adolescents through stressors like isolation, parental unemployment loss, disrupted routines. As result, sadness, hopelessness, depression, generalized anxiety all increased significantly among pandemic, coupled with simultaneous increase substance use, suicide attempts, violence. However, also offered some variables such reduced bullying, more family time, improved relationships for those adequate socioeconomic resources. complex affecting underscore necessity additional research comprehend their individual effects. advocate collaborative youth-centered initiatives involving organizations, experts, policymakers, healthcare systems, other community stakeholders effectively tackle challenges.
