The medicinal plant tulsi (Ocimum sanctum L.) is acknowledged for its invigorating and healing properties that enhance resilience to stress in various human animal models by modulating antioxidant compounds. While extensive research has documented these effects humans, the adaptogenic potential of stressful vitro systems not been explored. This study aimed elucidate leaf extract on regeneration tobacco explants through an investigation indoleamines at different developmental stages. Shoot from medium supplemented with (20%) was compared control, differences indoleamine compounds were analyzed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography. Treatment resulted almost two-fold increase number regenerants after four weeks culture, 9% resembled somatic embryo-like structures. occurrence browning extract-treated stopped day 10, shoots began develop, a significant concentration tryptamine N-acetyl-serotonin accumulated. A comparative analysis intact cut leaves also revealed pivotal role melatonin 2-hydroxymelatonin functioning as antioxidants during adaptation. demonstrates potent adaptogen capable morphogenesis vitro, paving way further investigations into adaptogens biology.

Phase separation is a thermodynamic process used by all living organisms since the origin of life to rapidly assemble and disassemble membraneless condensates in response changes exogenous endogenous stress conditions. For ∼4.5 billion years, three major domains depended upon high chemical potential adenosine triphosphate (ATP) harness nonequilibrium reactions that govern formation suppression organelles via phase separation. Melatonin enhances unique chemistry ATP water, promoting solubilization moiety effect, supporting survival early an anoxic environment. Eukaryotes, including dinoflagellates plants, can produce melatonin extreme levels under as compensation for inadequate optimal regulation responses dependent The production mitochondria enables fine-tuning dynamics modulate proteins associated with production, biogenesis degradation, membrane dynamics, gene transcription, mitophagy, unfolded protein response, apoptosis/survival mitochondria. Exogenous application mitochondrial synergy, attenuating aberrant dysfunction disease.
