ABSTRACT This study investigated the efficacy of ozone treatment on Vibrio pathogen removal within a simulated earthen shrimp pond, conducted in three phases. First, physical and chemical properties soil, alongside pathogen, were assessed. Results indicated neutral pH levels, high organic matter, carbon content, with load 1.0 ± 0.0 × 103 CFU/mg. Second, was applied, comparing its effectiveness control between treated untreated soil sets. The set exhibited significantly lower (6.00 1.41 CFU/mg) compared to (2.00 2.12 105 CFU/mg), resulting 97.23% eradication efficiency. Concurrently, ammonia rates decreased ozone, indicating potential benefits for aquaculture. Finally, application pond over 45 days effectively controlled pathogens. In set, levels rose 9.48 1.73 CFU/mg, while ozone-treated, they ranged from 6.5 1.25 0.29 Shrimp growth parameters, including average daily gain, survival rates, feed conversion ratio, groups, suggesting treatment's feasibility without adverse effects growth. Water quality parameters remained suitable ranges cultivation. These findings highlight ozone's as an effective method aquaculture, implications industry sustainability productivity.

The Pacific oyster, Magallana gigas (Thunberg, 1793), is the most widely cultivated bivalve species in world. Despite oyster's resistance to pathogens, oyster farms are increasingly suffering losses due infestation by various boring agents, particularly sponges. Boring sponges Pione vastifica (Hancock, 1849) penetrate and destroy shell of oysters, creating a network channels chambers shell. This ultimately results reduction marketability barrier protection as well an impairment their functional status. objective this study was identify mechanisms response exposure sponge assess health status context its ecological economic importance. paper examines effect on organism oysters M. gigas, namely level lipid peroxidation activity main antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase - SOD, catalase CAT, glutathione peroxidase GPx), histopathological changes gills with different degrees infestation. In contrast SOD activity, CAT GPx activities were found be dependent extent damage inflicted upon sponge. initial phase (1 25%), exhibited no notable deviation from control level. However, demonstrated pronounced decline. second stage (26-50% damage), there increase levels returned levels. low defense observed. fourth (76-100% highest accompanied production decrease activity. significant disturbances structure gill tissues increasing degree caused spread our study, only local histological abnormalities observed stages 2, 3, 4 infection. present work demonstrate influence process redox balance gill.

(Vv) is a bacterial pathogen native to warm and brackish water ecosystems that can cause fatal septicemia (Vv-vibriosis) in humans various farmed fish species. From One Health perspective, controlling Vv-vibriosis outbreaks on farms essential not only for animal but also human health, as it reduces the risk of Vv transmission humans. Electrolyzed (EW) sustainable control method, exhibiting transient disinfectant properties due formation hypochlorous acid (HOCl). We hypothesized EW could effectively reduce populations aquaculture facilities, preventing outbreak emergence. To test this hypothesis, survival assays were conducted under varying conditions salinity, pH, free available chlorine (FAC). The results indicated an intermediate concentration FAC had significant bactericidal effect regardless condition tested strain. Consequently, strategic use serve eco-friendly preventive measure against by significantly decreasing load farm water.
