Abstract Background Health professions education (HPE) research in the general practice domain (GP-HPE) is vital for high-quality healthcare. Collaboration among GP-HPE researchers crucial but challenging. Formulating a agenda, involving stakeholders, and fostering inter-institutional collaboration can address these challenges connect educational practice. Methods We used Q-methodology to explore participants' perspectives from all Dutch postgraduate GP training institutes on research. Participants individually sorted statements based relevance of future Data analysis comprised inverted factor analysis, rotation, interpretation. The National Meeting Educational Research took participatory approach that was decision-making aligning results. Results included 73 participants with diverse involvement identified five distinct perspectives, each representing focus area developing innovating education: clinician scientist, socially engaged GP, specific identity, as an entrepreneur, lifelong learning. Discussion resulting align hallmarks. facilitated consensus stakeholders. Successful requires common goal, neutral leadership, participant commitment, regular meetings, audit trail support, process transparency, reflexivity. Future should addressing evidence gaps within perspectives. Conclusion In Netherlands, we developed national agenda using Q-methodology, focusing collaboration, which provides potential model HPE worldwide.

Abstract Background: The Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in South Africa compelled medical schools to switch a purely online curriculum. innovative changes transformed the standard clinical skills curriculum increase learning transfer bridge theory-practice gap. efficacy of this intervention remains unknown. This study aims measure students’ competency affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains by assessing knowledge retention from platform compared face-to-face blended learning. Methods: A non-random cross-sectional quasi-experimental assessed third-year three competence. Data were obtained using score sheet during directly observed formative trial summative assessment. One hundred one students volunteered for onsite assessment that tested domain. Two thirty-nine evaluated on affective cognitive mini-objective structured examination (tm-OSCE). OSCE scores analysed descriptive statistics. significance findings was comparing with pre-pandemic 2019 students. Results: Statistically significant differences found between two cohorts both years (p < 0.05). 2021 group’s (n = 101) medians 90%, 95%CI [86, 92], 82%, [80, 85], 87%, 95% CI [84, 90] psychomotor, skills, respectively. e-learning 78%, [73, 79] 76%, [71, 78], cohort 249) achieved 70%, [69, 72] 84%, [82, 86] Conclusion: Medical demonstrated near far bridging gap domains. group performed significantly better than groups. educators play vital role overcoming challenges achieving higher levels adopting multiple student-centered teaching delivery approaches arranging immediate application opportunities. offers suggestions encourage practice, decentralising education revised strategy.
