Background: This bibliometric analysis explored the knowledge structure of and research trends in relationship between light myopia. Methods: Relevant literature published from 1981 to 2024 was collected Web Science Core Collection database. Visual maps were generated using CiteSpace VOSviewer. We analyzed included studies terms annual publication count, countries, institutional affiliations, prolific authors, source journals, top 10 most cited articles, keyword co-occurrence, cocitations. Results: A total 525 papers examining myopia collected. The United States ranked first number publications actively engaged international cooperation with other countries. Purpose: This systematic review focuses on the effectiveness, safety, and implementation outcomes of light therapy as an intervention to prevent or control myopia in children. Methods: A literature search was performed PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, SCOPUS, Web Science up January 27, 2024. Effectiveness included incidence, changes axial length (AL), spherical equivalent refraction (SER), choroidal thickness (CT). Safety relating retinal health damage including compliance rates loss follow-up were extracted. ROBINS-I, ROB 2, ROB-2 CRT used assess risk bias. Results: Nineteen interventional studies included. Increased outdoor time (n = 3), red-light 13), increased classroom lighting 1) had a significant effect AL, SER, CT. Violet-light 2) only effective children aged 8 10 years without eyeglasses with less than 180 minutes near-work daily. Two using reported adverse effects. For all studies, effectiveness. Conclusions: Evidence is compelling for effectiveness outdoors time; more data are needed confirm safety. Robust still prove violet-light lighting. Clearer strategies therapies. Translational Relevance: Light has emerged prevention control. summarizes state knowledge highlights gaps safety these strategies.

SIGNIFICANCE These findings suggest that repeated low-level red-light therapy holds potential as a new method for managing myopia in children. PURPOSE This study aimed to compare and analyze the efficacy of orthokeratology lenses control METHODS Exactly 138 participants were enrolled this retrospective study. Comprehensive eye examinations performed prior treatment. The groups comprised 67 71 patients, respectively. age range was between 6 14 years, with ≤−0.50 D astigmatism ≤2.50 after cycloplegia. Follow-up data collected during initial visit treatment period. Changes axial length over 2-year period associated factors analyzed. RESULTS Over period, group exhibited significantly less growth compared (0.17 ± 0.40 vs. 0.50 0.27 mm, p<0.001). In first year, than (0.03 0.22 0.28 0.18 p<0.001), no significant difference observed second year (0.14 0.29 0.21 0.14 p=0.06). showed 55% reduction 1 month 42% 4% 3% reductions group, Linear mixed-effects model analysis indicated annual change rate 0.10 mm (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.07 0.14), 0.25 CI, 0.24 0.27), an average 0.15 −0.17 −0.12, CONCLUSIONS Repeated demonstrated slightly superior controlling progression children lenses.
