Despite the importance of corneal biometric parameters in ophthalmology, there is limited comprehensive data on these measurements Sub-Saharan African (SSA) populations. This study systematically reviewed evidence populations, focusing their variability, influencing factors, and implications for clinical practice public health interventions. A systematic review meta-analysis were conducted following PRISMA guidelines. Eligible studies published between January 2003 December 2023 identified through searches PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, with a specific focus Inclusion criteria comprised non-interventional reporting central thickness (CCT), curvature, radius or horizontal diameter (HCD) eyes continental Africans. Data synthesized using random-effects meta-analyses, heterogeneity assessed I2 statistic. Subgroup analyses examined variations by geographic region, measurement instrument, sex. Twenty-eight total 14,009 participants included. The pooled mean CCT was 553.35 µm (95 % CI: 548.52-558.18 µm), regional ranging from 555.66 West Africa to 510.17 Southern Africa. Males exhibited slightly higher values compared females (539.11 vs. 533.78 µm). Additional included curvature (43.07 D), (7.70 mm), HCD (11.59 mm). These findings underscore population-specific enhancing diagnostic precision guiding development regionally tailored protocols. Changes in Corneal Densitometry Values of 50 Corneal Layers After Keratorefractive Lenticule Extraction (KLEx): A 6-Year Follow-Up DOI

Purpose To investigate the changes in corneal densitometry (CD) values after keratorefractive lenticule extraction (KLEx) and their influencing factors. Methods CD of 50 layers right corneas participants, measured using a Pentacam (Oculus Optikgeräte GmbH) at different points KLEx, were obtained from database analyzed. Repeated-measures analysis variance was used to compare CDs between postoperative time, regions, depths. Results Fifty-two participants included. At 1 week surgery, center, para-center, non-incised periphery increased by 24.23%, 24.49%, 11.42% superior inferior 20 μm 14.54%, 13.39%, 7.82% 40 junctions cap stromal bed, respectively, preoperative values.
