Arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) symbiosis occurs between obligate biotrophic fungi of the phylum Glomeromycota and most land plants. The exchange nutrients host plants AM (AMF) is presumed to be main benefit for two symbiotic partners. In this review article, we outline current concepts nutrient exchanges within (mechanisms regulation). First, focus on phosphorus nitrogen transfer from fungal partner plant, reciprocal carbon compounds, with a highlight possible interplay nutrition during symbiosis. We further discuss potential mechanisms regulation these linked membrane dynamics. finally addresses common mycorrhizal networks formed AMF, which interconnect similar and/or different species. Finally best way integrate knowledge ensuing benefits into sustainable agriculture discussed.

Heavy metal accumulation in plants is a severe environmental problem, rising at an expeditious rate. metals such as cadmium, arsenic, mercury and lead are known pollutants that exert noxious effects on the morpho-physiological biological attributes of plant. Due to their mobile nature, they have become extended part food chain affect human health. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi ameliorate toxicity intensify plant’s ability tolerate stress. Mycorrhizal vesicles, which analogous fungal vacuoles accumulate massive amount heavy them. With help pervasive hyphal network, arbuscular uptake water nutrients, thereby abating use chemical fertilizers plants. They also promote resistance parameters plants, secrete glycoprotein named glomalin reduces by forming glycoprotein–metal complexes, improve quality soil. assist phytoremediation increasing absorptive area, increase antioxidant response, chelate stimulate genes for protein synthesis reduce damage caused free radicals. The current manuscript focuses metals, accumulation, impact ameliorating stress

Heavy metals are widely distributed in the environment due to natural processes and anthropogenic human activities. Arable soils irrigated with wastewater (SIWs) cause ecological and human health issues due to the presence of heavy metals (HMs). Burning rice stubble (RS) poses severe environmental hazards. Converting RS into compost (RSC) biochar (RSB) can overcome these issues. Here, we considered role RS, RSC, RSB as individual soil amendments combined each them arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi (AMF) observe their effectiveness for HM immobilization in SIW, uptake pea plants, improvements physicochemical properties soil. The results revealed that adding AMF reduced bioavailable concentrations Pb, Cd, Ni, Cu, Co, Zn SIW by 35%, 50%, 43%, 52%, 22%, respectively. Moreover, RSB+AMF treatment also grain 93%, 76%, 83%, 72%, 71%, 57%, respectively, compared control. Abstract Cadmium (Cd) is an environmental pollutant that causes health hazard to living organisms. Melatonin (MT) has emerged as a ubiquitous pleiotropic molecule capable of coordinating heavy metal (HM) stresses in plants. However, it remains unclear how melatonin mediates Cd homeostasis and detoxification at transcriptional and/or post‐transcriptional levels radish. Herein, the activities five key antioxidant enzymes were increased, while root shoot contents dramatically decreased by melatonin. A combined small RNA transcriptome sequencing analysis showed 14 differentially expressed microRNAs (DEMs) 966 genes (DEGs) shared between + MT conditions. In all, 23 ten correlated miRNA‐DEG pairs identified Con vs. comparisons, respectively. Several DEGs encoding yellow stripe 1‐like (YSL), ATPases (HMA), ATP‐binding cassette (ABC) transporters involved transportation sequestration Root exposure 2+ induced several specific signaling molecules, which consequently trigger some HM chelators, transporters, antioxidants achieve reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging eliminate toxicity radish Notably, transgenic revealed overexpression RsMT1 ( Metallothionein 1 ) gene could enhance tolerance tobacco plants, indicating exogenous confers tolerance, might be attributable melatonin‐mediated upregulation These results contribute dissecting molecular basis governing stress response plants pave way for high‐efficient genetically engineering low‐Cd‐content cultivars breeding programs.
