This study explores CAMTA genes in the rare and endangered Chinese plant species, Liriodendron chinense.Despite completion of whole-genome sequencing, roles calcium regulation stress responses this species remain largely unexplored.Within L. chinense genome, we identified two genes, Lchi09764 Lchi222536, characterized by four functional domains: CG-1, TIG, ANK repeats, IQ motifs. Our analyses, including phylogenetic investigations, cis-regulatory element chromosomal location studies, aim to elucidate defining features chinense.Applying Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis (WGCNA), explored impact on different organs their under abiotic conditions. The identification significant gene modules prediction promoter binding sites revealed co-expressed associated with transcription factors. In summary, provides initial insights into chinense, laying groundwork for future research evolution biological roles. This knowledge enhancement contributes a better understanding environmental stress-an essential aspect biology.

Introduction Tobacco vein mottling virus (TVMV) is a member of the family Potyviridae . The 3’ untranslated region (3’UTR) viral genomic RNA has been reported to significantly impact infection. Nevertheless, role TVMV 3’UTR during infection remains unknown. Methods Here, 3’UTR-GFP expression vector was transiently expressed in Nicotiana benthamiana , which introduced upstream green fluorescent protein (GFP) gene. Transcriptome sequencing performed analyze genes associated with plant resistance. effect on GFP studied using an Agrobacterium -mediated transient assay, revealing that inhibited expression. analysis differentially N. elucidate why Results Eighty related disease resistance were expressed, including 29 upregulated and 51 downregulated genes. Significantly included those encoding calcium-binding CML24, leucine-rich repeat receptor-like tyrosine-protein kinase, respiratory burst oxidase homolog E. 7, ethylene-responsive transcription factor 10, endoglucanase 5, kinase. Discussion These findings indicate may inhibit gene by inducing This study provides theoretical basis for further research function mechanism 3’UTR.

Calcium sensor proteins play important roles by detecting changes in intracellular calcium and relaying that information onto downstream targets through protein-protein interaction. Very little is known about sensors from plant species predate land colonization the evolution of embryophytes. Here, we examined genome multicellular algae, Chara braunii, for orthologs to evolutionarily-conserved calmodulin (CaM), CaM-like (CMLs). We identified one CaM eight CML isoforms which range size 16.4 21.3 kDa are predicted have between two four calcium-binding (EF-hand) domains. Using recombinant protein, tested whether CbCaM CbCMLs1-7 possess biochemical properties typical sensors. CbCMLs all displayed high-affinity binding with estimated global KD,app values physiological µM range. In response binding, exhibited varying degrees increase exposed hydrophobicity, suggesting different calcium-induced conformational occur among isoforms. found many examples putative encoded C. braunii explored ability interact planta a representative target, CaM-binding transcription factor (CbCAMTA1). CbCaM, CbCML2, CbCML4 associated C-terminal region CbCAMTA1. Collectively, our data support hypothesis complex signaling sensing networks involving CMLs evolved early green lineage. Similarly, it seems likely calcium-mediated regulation occurs via CAMTAs an ancient trait predating embryophytic emergence.
