Social
withdrawal
syndrome,
known
as
"hikikomori,"
has
been
highlighted
since
the
late
1990
s
in
Japan.
Hikikomori
is
more
common
urban
areas,
and
often
comorbid
with
mental
disorders,
now
spreading
throughout
world.
In
post-COVID-19
era,
not
outing
no
longer
considered
pathological
itself
"new
normal,"
a
novel
concept
of
hikikomori
needed.
This
review
summarizes
hikikomori,
presents
latest
methods
for
identification
hikikomori.

Aim
Social
anxiety

Abstract
Aim
The

study
was

psychiatrists

cases
hikikomori
(prolonged
social
isolation),
