Introduction: Currently, own individual perception is recognized as one of the important factors in prevention disease, including coronavirus COVID-19. Given massive impact COVID-19 on all population’s life, nurses main health services providers country, this study aims to translate and validate Malay Version 5-Items Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire, BIP-Q5 towards among Malaysian nurses. Materials Methods: Forward backward translations pretesting were conducted nurses, subject matter experts, language professionals. The validations process was elicited through an online cross-sectional involving 56 based a ~10:1 subject-to-items ratio sample size estimations. Results: principal component analysis (PCA) revealed best with eigenvalues more than one, confirming questionnaire’s original version. There are five items within single component, weightage over 43%. scree plot supported findings, which showed that at least suitable be retained. overall Cronbach’s α coefficient 0.7 intraclass correlation 0.659. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin 0.655, Bartlett’s test sphericity p-value <0.001. Conclusion: This translated has good psychometric property, valid reliable tool used measure illness perceptions

This study investigates the association between individuals' concern about contracting COVID-19 and their compliance with recommended preventive mitigation measures, namely wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing handwashing, in context of Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. The empirical analysis is based on a panel dataset from Combined MENA Monitor Household Survey, which was carried out Jordan, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia Egypt. Applying probit estimation technique, positive statistically significant found level worries measures. Notably, results revealed that this followed "first-up-then-down" trend, showing three measures rose as virus increased, then markedly decreased after they had been infected. Socio-demographic characteristics contributing to lower levels included being male, over 60, having education household income. Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic had disruptive consequences for MENA countries’ agri-food value chains that exacerbated poverty and jeopardized food security. This study examines the relationship between individuals’ perception of contracting their experience insecurity, using longitudinal data from Combined Monitor Household survey.
