Downy mildew caused by the oomycete Pseudoperonospora cubensis is a devastating disease of cucurbits. Cucumis species are attacked pathotype 3 (clade 2) pathogen, while Cucurbita 6 1). The Sikkim-type cucumbers PI 197088 and 330628 express high levels resistance against both pathotypes (clades) pathogen but no green-fruit cucumber cultivars resistant to available on market. Here we report several non-Sikkim accessions that show downy in four consecutive seasons. Mean % foliage with susceptible controls Ilan SMR-18 was 93% 71%, respectively, as 0.2% 1.8% 330628, respectively. Twenty-four green fruit were significantly more than controls. Five showed less 10% infected leaf area follows: 432870—5%, 390266—7.5%, 418964—8.5%, 390258—8.8%, G12—10%. 390258 390266 race 1 powdery 2, whereas 418964 races. These may be used breeding programs accelerate production green-fruit, disease-resistant cucumbers.
