Drought is considered as a significant stress that hampers growth, development well productivity of wheat crop around the globe. The present investigation was performed to determine changes induced by drought on morpho-physiology, antioxidative system, metabolism and yield parameters in crop. study also focussed evaluating effect zinc-chitosan-salicylic acid (ZCS) nanoparticles alleviating physiological biochemical alterations overcoming losses caused drought. provided during vegetative stage four different varieties (two tolerant viz. C-306 PBW-644 two susceptible HUW-322 HUW-843) withholding irrigation maintaining moisture capacity soil at 40%. ZCS were foliar sprayed concentrations 100, 200 400 mg L−1. Application 100 L−1 significantly (p < 0.05) enhanced relative water content (RWC), alleviated levels enzymes like superoxide dismutase, ascorbate peroxidase, glutathione reductase guaiacol peroxidase metabolites proline, ascorbate, malondialdehyde flavanoid leaves subjected recovery noteworthy sensitive varieties. Water reduced grain / plant nearly 45% 50% Spray foliage incremented 63% 41% 46% This suggests an outstanding role concentration mitigation ill effects These have ability improve osmotic status plant, enhance synthesis osmoprotectants, activate ROS scavenging for membrane integrity cellular protection promote increment stress. implicates its ensuring food security sustainable agriculture with reduction environmental pollution due limited use fertilizers.

Abstract Currently, the world is facing many troubles in crop production and irrigation water deficit most harmful among them. Saving main target for all countries of world, especially arid areas. Field trial was executed aiming to assess influence regimes (100, 80 60% requirements, IR (IR 100 , 60 respectively), water-absorbent substances (control, hydrogel polymer zeolite as soil addition) foliar application glutathione (GSH) [with GSH or without] on performance common bean plants. Findings clarified that plant fresh weight obtained with combination × had no significant differences superior GSH. Hydrogel plus supply showed distinctive enhancements N, P K accumulation leaves. Application reduced POX CAT by 21.8 15.5% under 16.1 7.6% respectively. Spraying 100, significantly increased value pods yield 26.5%, 25.23% 32.80, respectively, compared corresponding control treatment. interaction whether without highest values P, protein, fiber, carbohydrates percentages TDS. Briefly, it can be concluded holding amendments i.e., well low-molecular-weight antioxidants mitigate hazard impacts elevated reactive oxygen species drought. Practically, growers are advised treat available amendment (hydrogel polymer, 0.24 t ha −1 zeolite, 1.20 ) spraying plants glutathione, 1.0 mM sustain productivity quality shortage conditions

Zanthoxylum bungeanum Maxim. leaves (ZBLs) are rich in flavonoids and have become popular nutrition, foods medicine. However, the flavonoid components ZBLs mechanism of biosynthesis under drought stress received little attention. Here, we performed an integrative analysis metabolome transcriptome from HJ (Z. cv. "Hanjiao") FJ "Fengjiao") at four stages. A total 231 individual divided into nine classes were identified flavones flavonols considered most abundant ZBLs. The content was higher FJ; it increased but decreased HJ. Nine-quadrant five eight differentially leaves, respectively, stress. Weighted gene correlation network (WGCNA) structural genes transcription factor involved regulation biosynthesis. Moreover, qRT-PCR results verified accuracy data reliability candidate genes. Taken together, our reveal document changes metabolism stress, providing valuable information for nutrition value food utilization

Water deficit is the most critical factor limiting plant growth and production salicylic acid (SA) has potential for stress mitigation in plants; therefore, we evaluated effect of SA on radish (Raphanus sativus L.) ecophysiology under water deficit. Plants were sprayed with (100 μM) or (control), irrigated at 80% (W80), 60% (W60), 40% (W40), 20% (W20) field capacity. The treatments drought started 7 days after sowing lasted until end cycle (30 sowing). morphophysiological analyses showed that plants had impaired lower supply levels, but treatment reversed these restraints moderate stress, leading to increases shoot mass W40 storage root W60 W40. also reduction volume W60. tendency increase FO reduce FV/FM suggests possible damage photosystem II drought-stressed plants. parameters gas exchange photosynthetic pigments maintained efficiency, total photosynthesis decreased due dry mass. Overall, exogenously applied W40, which revealed was effective mitigating effects biomass accumulation partitioning
