Immunostimulants are becoming one of the most effective models for healthy and sustainable development against vibriosis, which is a serious threat to global aquaculture industry. This study evaluated effects different concentrations Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides (GLPs) on immunomodulation disease resistance pearl gentian groupers. The relative percent survival groupers challenged with Vibrio harveyi ZJ0603 by intraperitoneal injection reached 53.3, 60, 70, 73.3% in GLPs2, GLPs4, GLPs6, GLPs8 groups, respectively, significantly higher than that 33.3% control group. Meanwhile, expression levels immune-relative genes, including IgM , MHC-Iα MHC2 IL-1β TNF-α were upregulated liver, spleen, head kidney, thymus within 28 days after GLP injection. total serum protein activities catalase, superoxide dismutase, lysozymes all groups compared those control. Moreover, optimal immunity effect was observed an GLPs at 6 or 8 mg/ml. results demonstrate immunostimulant, enhancing both specific non-specific as well grouper.

Abstract Aquaculture is one of the primary food-producing sectors in world that ensures human nourishment. However, aqua farmers are facing serious problems due to disease outbreaks and development antimicrobial resistance. Until now, chemical or antibiotic based strategies have been applied control related concern aquaculture. Frequent usage antibiotics feed disinfectant overcome may end up with negative impacts environment human. Utilization plant derived polysaccharides has drastically increased their effective roles could serve as a best replacement for agents antibiotics. In addition, compounds extracts were utilized improve immunity, intestinal health growth performance aquaculturable organisms. large number plant-based was immunostimulants Hence, this review aims highlight multifunctional properties Moreover, advantages different concentration additive aquaculture sector discussed herein.

Abstract This study aimed to assess the effects of dietary Cyanus depressus (CD) extract on rainbow trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss ) physiology and health. Fish with an average weight 3.29 ± 0.34 g were allocated four feeding groups, receiving diets containing CD at doses 0 (Control), 0.5 (CD05), 1 (CD1), 2 (CD2) kg −1 for a period 60 days. Results revealed significant improvements in final body weight, gain, specific growth rate groups supplemented g/kg extract. Lipase activity increased notably fish fed CD0.5, CD1, CD2 diets. The CD1 group exhibited highest trypsin activity, while displayed amylase activity. Analysis gene expression levels superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) showed marked increases across all compared control, most enhancement observed Significant variations immunity-related genes among treatments, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) found diet enriched immune-related was more prominent than control group. Notably, extract, heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) group, decreased CD05 remained statistically unchanged control. Additionally, supplementation altered composition abundance intestinal microbiota trout. In conclusion, our suggests that has potential enhancing various physiological health aspects trout, particularly when g/kg.

Introduction Mushrooms are rich in protein, polysaccharides, and other nutrients as a natural homology of medicine food species, among which Agaricus bisporus is one the most widely cultivated consumed mushrooms worldwide. The mushroom stipe by-product industry that can be utilized feed resource based on its nutritional value. This study examined effects (ABS) additive growth performance, blood indexes, rumen fermentation parameters, nutrient digestion utilization, microbiota heifers. Methods Twenty Holstein heifers (268 ± 9.43 d age) were blocked 10 groups 2 according to their live weights ages, within each group, randomly allocated 1 treatments: control diet (CON), plus ABS (ABS, 150 g·DM/animal/d). Results Heifers supplemented with had higher average daily gain tendency decrease conversion ratio, but parameters similar between two treatments. increased IgG, IgA, IgM, SOD, T-AOC, GSH-Px concentrations while decreasing MDA concentration than CON. Although energy nitrogen utilization treatments, apparent total-tract digestibilities NDF ADF for CON Feeding relative abundance phylum (Verrucomicrobiota), genera ( Akkermansia Ligilactobacillus ), species muciniphila murinus ) Discussion In conclusion, receiving have greater improved serum immune antioxidant some bacteria,

The extracts tested for phenolic content, antioxidant potential, acetylcholinesterase butyrylcholinesterase inhibitory antiproliferative effects against A549 lung cancer cell line. results show that obtained by ANN-GA exhibited higher activity compared to RSM had total status (TAS), DPPH FRAP values. Phenolic content analysis revealed eight compounds with highest concentrations caffeic acid (in extract) gallic extract), respectively. Both showed strong cytotoxic cells depending on concentration, extract showing activity. Our study provides important findings therapeutic potential O. particularly reveals method plays an role in increasing can be used treatment neurodegenerative diseases future techniques offer effective strategy enriching contents.

Replacing fishmeal (FM) with plant-based protein sources remains a significant challenge, particularly for carnivorous fish. This study investigates the effect of dietary Lentinus edodes fermentation (LEF) supplementation on Japanese eel (Anguilla japonica) fed fermented soybean meal (FSM) as partial FM replacement. The positive control consisted 64% (Con), and negative (FSM group) included 52% plus 12% FSM. Two experimental diets were formulated by adding 2% LEF (LEF2 3% (LEF3 to diet. diet was administered eels weighing 62.50 ± 2.14 g 12 weeks. fish randomly assigned four groups, three replicates 100 per group. results indicated that growth performance feed efficiency significantly reduced in FSM group, but improved (p < 0.05). did not affect muscle crude fat content compared group > 0.05), increased amino acid levels certain fatty acids (linoleic acid, γ-linolenic eicosatrienoic DHA) serum TC LDL-C levels, HDL-C CAT T-SOD activities, MDA both liver ALT AST activities elevated accompanied histological abnormalities, which supplementation. thickness muscularis, villus height, goblet cell count intestine Compared control, upregulated spleen tnf-α gene expression downregulated anti-inflammatory factors (ifn-α, ifn-γ, socs1, mavs). ameliorated immunocompetence induced replacement enhancing immune-related genes (irak4, ifn-α, irf3, irf11, mavs, traf3) spleen. These suggest beneficial effects may be attributed its improvement damage intestinal histology, well enhancement antioxidant capacity immunity.
