For a long time, co-products of food processing have been used in animal feed, but far less fish because their assumed inability to cope with high-fiber diets. Research on feeding species that naturally consume fibrous diets are yet lacking. We here evaluated the impact sugar beet pulp diet tambaquí nutrient metabolism, oxidative stress, inflammation, and intestinal histomorphometry. A total 18 (1616 ± 107 g; 2 years old) were randomly divided over 6 similar tanks 3 per tank attributed one six dietary treatments 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 25 % addition reared for 8 weeks. Water quality parameters (pH, NH3–N, EC, TDS, DO, temperature) assessed recorded twice week each tank. quadratic increase villus length, paravilli absorptive surface observed addition. Ammonia pH as indicators significantly changing higher supply glucogenic substrate citric acid cycle was noticed due positive correlation blood propionylcarnitine: acetylcarnitine ratio while there no effect ketone body synthesis measured through 3-hydroxybutyrylcarnitine: ratio. No pronounced change serum whole histamine lowered concentrations malondialdehyde In conclusion, induced marked architecture without signs inflammation or stress. Large-scale studies need clarify if these features lead improved growth performance this work opens options further study. The non-linear pattern some components increasing may call future optimal dosing feed form together.

The Russian sturgeon (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii) species is in high demand owing to its valuable caviar. Therefore, it danger of extinction. Since the reaches sexual maturity late life cycle, this has a economic cost for farmers. However, can be reduced with an environmentally friendly system called biofloc technology. This study compared growth performance and health indicators groups using different carbon sources such as starch (BS), molasses (BM) dextrose (BD). In 60-day study, fish average initial weight 106.44±5.79 g were stocked tanks at density 21 fish/tank (0.4 m3/tank). water temperature was set 19 ℃ degrees throughout study. On 30th 60th days experiment, weighted measure parameters sampled immune indices. No mortality observed any group A between comparison gain revealed that BS BM (105.51±2.26; 100.50±2.18) performed better than control (BC, without external sources) BD (95.90±2.09; 87.36±2.18) (P<0.05). Furthermore, FCR SGR calculated from data obtained end shows statistically more effective other groups. Moreover, NBT, lysozyme myeloperoxidase enzyme activities indicated all BFT had stronger According results, immune-enhancing effect determined, reported are suitable use terms SGR, they result production.
