An eight-week experiment was conducted to study the effects of dietary ferroporphyrin (FPR) supplementation on growth performance, antioxidant capacity, immune response, and oxygen-carrying capacity in gibel carp. The results demonstrated that addition FPR increased moisture content whole fish body. Supplementation with 0.01% significantly plasma albumin (ALB), total protein (TP), cholesterol (TC) contents. 0.03% 0.04% alanine aminotransferase (ALT) aspartate (AST) levels, respectively, while glucose (GLU), TC, triglyceride (TG) levels showed opposite trends. In terms malondialdehyde (MDA) levels. activity glutathione peroxidase (GPx) exhibited an trend MDA resulted a notable reduction mRNA expression

L-Glutamate is a conditionally essential amino acid, meaning it can become under specific conditions, like stress or disease. It an abundant intracellular acid crucial in immune responses. Supplementation of feed with key acids, such as glutamate, optimize growth and have other health benefits for production animals. Most research on dietary supplementation has focused mammalian models, thus this turned to hybrid striped bass, teleost fish growing importance the aquaculture industry. The study investigated effects 0% 5% glutamate bass intestinal mucosal immunity. basal purified diet contained crystalline including 3% L-glutamate. After 8-week period followed by lipopolysaccharide stimulation, mucosa was analyzed at cellular molecular levels compare head kidney assess potential changes reactivity. One week after enhanced (P < 0.05) whole-body without challenge, total respiratory burst (the sum O2 - H2O2 production) leukocytes, net upregulation expression mRNAs IL-1β, TNF-α, IgT gut mucosa. Dietary L-glutamate may modulate immunity improve HSB enhance disease resistance. Further needed clarify mechanism cost-effective application.
