Introduction The syndepositional normal faults related paleogeomorphic units in sedimentary basins play a crucial role controlling sediment transport and infill processes. Previous studies have primarily focused on the control of depositional systems by large-scale faults. However, there is still lack systematic understanding about intensively developed small-scale sandstone facies distribution continental basin. Methods This study integrates 3D seismic data, well logs, core descriptions to determine fault paleogeomorphology are consistent during deposition Paleogene Bottom Sandstone Member WM7 zone area Tabei Uplift, Tarim Results results indicate that consists deltaic fine-grained lacustrine deposits containing evaporites near an erosional uplift. During Member, uplift eastern part zone, where numerous incised valleys formed. In contrast, its western region were characterized delta–saline lake system controlled graben, with en echelon developing within zone. Discussion These special geomorphic composed formed differential subsidence strata. their associated characteristics distributary channels. By analyzing exerted micro - paleo-uplift sandstone, new insights provided for predicting complex combinations basins.
