Abstract Susan Goldin‐Meadow is the 2021 Recipient of Rumelhart Prize. Goldin‐Meadow's body research addresses roles gesture in language creation, communication, learning, and cognition. In one major strand her research, has studied gestures children who are not exposed to any structured input, specifically, deaf hearing parents do expose their sign language.
