Soil salinization is an essential environmental stressor, threatening agricultural yield and ecological security worldwide. Saline soils accumulate excessive soluble salts which are detrimental to most plants by limiting plant growth productivity. It of great necessity for efficiently deal with the adverse effects caused salt stress survival successful reproduction. Multiple determinants tolerance have been identified in plants, cellular physiological mechanisms response adaption intensely characterized. Plants respond signals rapidly initiate signaling pathways re-establish homeostasis adjusted metabolism. This review summarizes advances perception, signaling, plants. A better understanding resistance will contribute improving crop performance under saline conditions using multiple engineering approaches. The rhizosphere microbiome-mediated as well chemical priming enhanced also discussed this review.

With the increase in world population, demography of humans is estimated to be exceeded and it has become a major challenge provide an adequate amount food, feed, agricultural products majorly developing countries. The use chemical fertilizers causes plant grow efficiently rapidly meet food demand. drawbacks using higher quantity or synthetic are environmental pollution, persistent changes soil ecology, physiochemical composition, decreasing productivity cause several health hazards. Climatic factors responsible for enhancing abiotic stress on crops, resulting reduced productivity. There various types biotic like salinity, drought, wind, improper temperature, heavy metals, waterlogging, different weeds phytopathogens bacteria, viruses, fungi, nematodes which attack plants, reducing crop quality. shift toward biofertilizers due all these facts, nutrition through natural processes zinc, potassium phosphorus solubilization, nitrogen fixation, production hormones, siderophore, hydrolytic enzymes protect from pathogens conditions. Plant beneficial bacteria, defined as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), play a crucial role in plants’ growth, stress tolerance and disease prevention. In association with the rhizosphere of plants, PGPR facilitate growth development either directly or indirectly through multiple mechanisms, including increasing available mineral nutrients, moderating phytohormone levels acting biocontrol agents phytopathogens. It is generally accepted that effectiveness inoculants associated their ability to colonize, survive persist, well complex network interactions rhizosphere. Despite promising promotion results commonly reported mostly attributed phytohormones other organic compounds produced by inoculants, little information on potential mechanisms underlying such positive effects via modifying microbial community soil functionality. this review, we overviewed ecology function, hypothesizing may promote health composition functioning community, highlighting further directions for investigating from an ecological perspective.

The world's population is increasing and anticipated to spread 10 billion by 2050, the issue of food security becoming a global concern. To maintain security, it essential increase crop productivity under changing climatic conditions. Conventional agricultural practices frequently use artificial/chemical fertilizers enhance productivity, but these have numerous negative effects on environment people's health. address issues, researchers been concentrating substitute fertilization methods for many years, biofertilizers as crucial part are quickly gaining popularity all over globe. Biofertilizers living formulations made indigenous plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) which substantial, environment-friendly, economical amassing enhancing development either directly or indirectly, renewable source nutrients sustainable agronomy. review aims provide comprehensive overview current knowledge microbial inoculants biofertilizers, including their types, mechanisms action, challenges, limitations associated with inoculants. In this review, we focused application fields in growth performing several activities like nitrogen fixation, siderophore production, phytohormone nutrient solubilization, facilitating easy uptake plants. Further, discussed indirect mechanism PGPRs, developing induced system resistance against pest diseases, biocontrol agent phytopathogens. In terrestrial ecosystems, plant leaves provide the largest biological habitat for highly diverse microbial communities, known as phyllosphere microbiota. However, underlying mechanisms of host-driven assembly these ubiquitous communities remain largely elusive. Here, we conduct a large-scale and in-depth assessment rice microbiome aimed at identifying specific host-microbe links. A genome-wide association study reveals strong between genotype members four bacterial orders, Pseudomonadales, Burkholderiales, Enterobacterales Xanthomonadales. Some associations are to distinct host genomic locus, pathway or even gene. The compound 4-hydroxycinnamic acid (4-HCA) is identified main driver enrichment bacteria belonging Pseudomonadales. 4-HCA can be synthesized by plant's OsPAL02 from phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathway. knockout mutant results in reduced Pseudomonadales abundance, dysbiosis microbiota consequently higher susceptibility plants disease. Our provides direct link metabolite homeostasis opening possibilities new breeding strategies.
