This bibliometric analysis investigates research trends and collaborative networks in the emerging field of Reflective Intelligent Surface (RIS)-Enhanced Free Space Optics (FSO) to understand its growth impact. With rising complexity modern wireless communication systems, RIS-enhanced FSO has gained attention for potential address challenges related signal quality, energy efficiency, resilience diverse environments. Despite this potential, gaps remain understanding collaboration patterns, influential contributions, key themes. Using Scopus Analyzer VOSviewer software, a dataset 1,449 publications was analysed identify major contributors, popular keywords, global trends. The methodology involved mapping co-authorship keyword co-occurrences, enabling detailed examination prominent areas geographical hubs. results show steady increase publication volume from 2017 onward, indicating heightened interest, particularly between 2022 2023. Popular keywords such as "signal noise ratio," "bit error rate," "atmospheric turbulence" highlight focus on enhancing reliability mitigating environmental impacts systems. Key contributors collaborations were identified, with notable influence researchers institutions across multiple countries, underscoring field’s interdisciplinary nature. study concludes that is primarily driven by engineering computational disciplines, increasing practical applications. expanding network reflects collective effort overcome technical optimize RIS applications future needs, establishing vital area next-generation innovation.
