Large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI's GPT series have shown remarkable capabilities in generating fluent and coherent text various domains. We compare the ideation of ChatGPT-4, a chatbot based on state-of-the-art LLM, with those students at an elite university. ChatGPT-4 can generate ideas much faster cheaper than students, are average higher quality (as measured by purchase-intent surveys) exhibit variance quality. More important, vast majority best pooled sample generated ChatGPT not students. Providing few examples highly-rated further increases its performance. discuss implications these findings for management innovation.

ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence (AI) systems capable of generating creative outputs are reshaping our understanding creativity. This shift presents an opportunity for creativity researchers to reevaluate the key components process. In particular, advanced capabilities AI underscore importance studying internal processes paper explores neurobiological machinery that underlies these and describes experiential component It is concluded although products artificial human can be similar, different. The also discusses how may negatively affect creativity, such as development skills, authenticity diversity ideas.

Abstract We report the results of a field experiment designed to increase honest disclosure claims at U.S. state unemployment agency. Individuals filing were randomized message (‘nudge’) intervention, while an off-the-shelf machine learning algorithm calculated claimants’ risk for committing fraud (underreporting earnings). study causal effects algorithmic targeting on effectiveness nudge messages: Without targeting, average treatment effect messages was insignificant; in contrast, use revealed significant heterogeneous across claimants. Claimants predicted behave unethically by more likely disclose earnings when receiving relative control condition, with claimants most being almost twice as shown message. In addition providing potential blueprint costly interventions, our offers novel perspective and efficiency data science public sector without violating citizens’ However, we caution that, algorithms can enable tailored policy, their ethical must be ensured all times.

Abstract Research Summary Strategic decisions are uncertain and often irreversible. Hence, predicting the value of alternatives is important for strategic decision making. We investigate use generative artificial intelligence (AI) in evaluating using business models generated by AI (study 1) or submitted to a competition 2).
