ABSTRACT Honey bees ( Apis mellifera ) play a crucial role in global food production through pollination services. However, their populations are threatened by various stressors, like the ectoparasitic mite Varroa destructor and associated viral pathogens. In this study, we aimed to characterise compare communities (viromes) V. ‐resistant susceptible colonies using high‐throughput sequencing. Our findings revealed differences virome composition with season not resistance or susceptibility . Furthermore, detected filamentous virus (AmFV) Lake Sinai (LSV) for first time Uruguay, obtained complete partial genomes of both viruses, along those other previously described such as Acute bee paralysis (ABPV), Black queen cell (BQCV), Deformed wing (DWV), Sacbrood (SBV). This study contributes deeper understanding dynamics honey bees. It highlights importance type early detection new pathogens, which could help understand tripartite network involving , bees, viruses.
