Abstract Ralstonia spp., known for their adaptability across various habitats, are to cause infections. The adaptive metabolic diversity of those inhabiting aquatic ecosystems remains poorly understood. We report four new pickettii genomes enriched in the cyanobacterial culture derived from bloom-forming cyanobacteria, Dolichospermum . A total 228 complete genus were utilized phylogenetic inference, categorizing them based on isolation environment and host: water, soil, plant, human groups. Meanwhile, abundance carbohydrate-active enzymes secondary metabolites water groups differed plant-host associate habitat. CeoB two β-lactamases types OXA identified habitat, showing similarities certain strains human-host but differences other habitats. infectivity within habitats seems diminish, as evidenced by decreased T3SS virulence proteins. Moreover, a distinctive pyrimidine degradation pathway degrades exogenous pyrimidines supply nitrogen compounds energy metabolism provide potential broader habitat adaptability. Fluorescence situ hybridization results confirmed that R. rarely attached cells, indicating they not parasitic relationships. postulate absence unique profile represent adaptations an free-living lifestyle.
