Objective Kinesiophobia is prevalent among patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). This study aimed to explore whether psychologically-informed cardiac rehabilitation (CR) could positively influence the reduction of kinesiophobia in CHD patients. Methods A total 86 patients, who sought treatment at Bethune International Peace Hospital between June 2022 and 2023, were selected divided into two groups: a psychological intervention group comprising 42 conventional CR 44 The received standard intervention, whereas underwent augmented support. effectiveness these interventions was evaluated using Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), Anxiety (SAS), Multidimensional Exercise Self-Efficacy (MSES), TSK-Heart (for assessing patients), Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) scores. Growing evidence highlights the crucial role of defense mechanisms in context chronic diseases. However, few studies have evaluated impact these implicit emotion regulation strategies on adaptation processes related to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
