Over the coming decades, global freshwater withdrawals are expected to grow, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Unless there significant improvements efficiency of water use by economies, stress, crises, scarcity will worsen. This paper explores further economic relationship between scarcity. Because growing many regions countries is not adequately reflected markets, often insufficient incentives for investment innovation improve use. To explore changes across countries, we conduct a panel analysis productivity 130 from 1995 2020. Countries with lower initial levels tended have higher growth, whereas more agriculturally dependent economies displayed efficiency.
