Mindfulness practice has many mental and physical well-being benefits. With the increased popularity of live stream technologies impact COVID-19, people have turned to tools participate in online meditation sessions. To better understand practices, challenges, opportunities live-stream meditation, we conducted a three-month autoethnographic study, during which two researchers participated sessions as audience. Then follow-up semi-structured interview study with 10 experienced teachers who use different tools. We found that although having weaker social presence than in-person facilitates attendees establishing routine connecting other meditators. Teachers streams deliver world also enhances their brand building. identified challenges using for from perspectives both audiences teachers, provided design recommendations utilize resource wellbeing.

Existing videoconferencing (VC) technologies are often optimized for productivity and efficiency, with little support the "soft side" of VC meetings such as empathy, authenticity, belonging, emotional connections. This paper presents findings from a 15-month long autoethnographic study experiences by first author, person who stutters (PWS). Our research shed light on hidden costs PWS, uncovering substantial cognitive efforts that other meeting attendants unaware of. Recognizing disproportionate burden PWS to be heard in VC, we propose set design implications more inclusive communication environment, advocating shared responsibility among all, including technologies, ensure inclusion respect every voice.
