Advances in Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) are resulting AI-generated media output that is (nearly) indistinguishable from human-created content. This can drastically impact users and the sector, especially given global risks of misinformation. While currently discussed European AI Act aims at addressing these through Article 52's transparency obligations, its interpretation implications remain unclear. In this early work, we adopt a participatory approach to derive key questions based on disclosure obligations. We ran two workshops with researchers, designers, engineers across disciplines (N=16), where participants deconstructed relevant clauses using 5W1H framework. contribute set 149 clustered into five themes 18 sub-themes. believe not only help inform future legal developments interpretations 52, but also provide starting point for Human-Computer Interaction research (re-)examine human-centered lens.

Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) is transforming numerous professions, not least various fields intimately relying on creativity, such as design. To explore GAI's adoption and appropriation in design, an interview-based study probed 10 specialists user experience industrial with varying tenure GAI experience, for their adoption/application of tools, reasons using them, problems ownership agency, speculations about the future creative work, tools' roles design sensemaking. Insight from reflexive thematic analysis revealed wide variation attitudes toward tools – threat-oriented negative appraisals to identification empowerment opportunities which depended sense agency perceived control. The paper examines this finding light Coping Model User Adaptation discusses designers' metacognitive skills possible underpinnings attitudes. Avenues further research are identified accordingly.

Divergent thinking activities, like research and ideation, are key drivers of innovation in UI/UX design. Existing has explored AI's role automating design tasks, but leaves a critical gap understanding how AI specifically influences divergent thinking. To address this, we conducted interviews with 19 professional designers, examining their use perception these creative activities. We found that this context, participants valued tools offer greater control over facilitate collaboration, enhance efficiency to liberate creativity, align visual habits. Our results indicated four roles plays supporting thinking: aiding research, kick-starting generating alternatives, facilitating prototype exploration. Through study, provide insights into the evolving less-investigated area design, offering recommendations for future better support innovation.
