Today, millions of people worldwide play popular multiplayer online battle arena games (MOBAs) such as League Legends. MOBAs are designed to require real-time teamwork win games. A side effect this is toxic behavior (an umbrella term for various negative in-game behaviors). Following Transactional Stress Theory, in study, we consider toxicity a coping mechanism better deal with stress that leads anger and frustration, potentially leading subsequent sleep problems. Therefore, asked Legends players (N=212) about their experiences within the last 30 days retrospective survey study. Our results indicated perceived was, indeed, positive predictor sleeping problems, partially mediated relationship. These indicate some caused by it may increase likelihood occurrence further efforts needed help develop harmonious means techniques experienced stress.
