The international wildlife trade can be a significant driver of biodiversity loss, as well facilitator zoonotic disease transmission with pandemic potential. Environmental justice has never been more relevant to the it is today. Yet, environmental not sufficiently mainstreamed into conservation science, nor practice. Here, we propose framework for advancing transdisciplinary science in context. organized via three interrelated domains: a) social justice, b) species c) ecological justice. Community engagement is widely recognized as critical to successful and equitable implementation of evidence-based practices, programs, policies. However, there are no clear guidelines for community involvement in data collection analysis research. We describe three specific methods engaging members analysis: concept mapping, rapid ethnographic assessment, Photovoice. Common elements identified from a case study each method: 1) selection adaptation strategies improving adolescent HPV vaccine initiation rates disadvantaged communities, 2) implementing medication opioid use disorders among low-income Medicaid enrollees during natural disasters, 3) interventions improve the physical health adults with severe mental illness living supportive housing. In all cases, assisted participant recruitment, provided data, validated preliminary findings created by researchers. Photovoice study, participated both analysis, while also initial phase organizing prioritizing analysis. research contributes greater empowerment validation findings. Abstract Background Implementation science helps generate approaches to expedite the uptake of evidence in practice. Mixed methods are commonly used implementation research because they allow researchers integrate distinct qualitative and quantitative data sets unravel process context design contextual tools for optimizing implementation. To date, there has been limited discussion on how ensure rigor mixed research. Purpose present Particularity, Engagement, Actionable Inferences, Reflexivity, Legitimation (PEARL) as a practical tool understanding various components Data Sources This methodological is based nurse‐led study. The PEARL was developed an interpretive, critical reflection, purposive reading selected literature sources drawn from researchers' knowledge, experiences designing conducting research, published papers about methods, science, rigor. Conclusion An exemplar exploratory sequential study nursing provided illustrate application tool. proposed can be useful innovative students intending use offers straightforward approach learning key using methods. In environmental epidemiology, we use an array of tools from various, related disciplines to answer key questions about exposures in relation health outcomes. Typically, ask what, who, where, when, and how. We value these because they contribute novel scientific discovery our understanding disease etiology linked exposures. addition, help us better understand who might be at highest risk exposure subsequent disease. Although necessary for the goals are insufficient addressing disparities. Specifically, may able describe exposure-health outcome associations but limited their ability move beyond identification intervening on observed disparities achieve equity.
