Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and preeclampsia (PE) significantly increase the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. However, effect on outcomes GDM in combination with PE remains undetermined. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate pregnant women PE. Methods: This retrospective cohort was conducted at a single center. To explore correlations between occurrence outcomes, enrolled population divided into two groups: non-GDM. Risk factors associated were analyzed using binary logistic regression model. Results: comprised 27,181 (5412 cases 21,769 non-GDM cases). The prevalence higher group than (p < 0.05). presence GDM, pre-pregnancy body mass index (pp-BMI) >24 kg/m2, excessive gestational weight gain (GWG) demonstrated contribute an increased developing Pregnant exhibited preterm birth. Additionally, birth, cesarean section, fetal growth restriction further when occurred alongside GDM. Conclusions: Overall, pp-BMI kg/m2 GWG for have PE, co-occurrence increases attention management are needed during pregnancy.

Background: Adiponectin was seen to work as an important adipokine that originated from adipocytes regulate metabolic and inflammatory processes. The concentration of adiponectin altered throughout pregnancy, linking it different pregnancy-related medical complications. This review aimed investigate how affects pregnancy pathologies at the molecular level, while examining both normal physiological events associated outcomes. Methods: A thorough analysis research conducted through examination peer-reviewed studies in PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar databases 2010 2024. included functions during about gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), preeclampsia, insulin resistance, hypertension. experimental studies, prospective cohort case-control studies. excluded papers failed mention definitive outcomes regarding those dealing exclusively with non-pregnancy conditions. systematic 12 which received quality evaluation application Evidence Project Risk Bias Tool. Results were synthesized qualitatively. Results: Among 118 screened 34 met eligibility criteria after full-text review. finally sample size ranged 2503 participants. Pregnant women typically exhibited elevated levels early but this level decreased cases GDM preeclampsia. Leptin is a well-known metabolic hormone that plays diverse roles in various body functions, including growth, reproduction, and blood pressure regulation. In pregnancy, leptin produced from the placenta crucial for ensuring proper fetal development angiogenesis; however, pathological increases maternal circulation are strongly associated with vascular endothelial dysfunction preeclampsia. has strong role fertility healthy pregnancy; numerous clinical reports over last 2 decades show levels pathologically increase patients preeclampsia independent of status (ie, obesity). Despite this correlation, largely unexplored compared other biomarkers likely due to differences placental production among mammals. Emerging literature recently begun shed light on pathogenesis uncovered some key mechanisms whereby elevated leads cardiovascular complications pregnant women.

Background/Aims: Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is a common complication during pregnancy, defined as diabetes diagnosed in the second or third trimester, often asymptomatic. This study investigates therapeutic potential of olive leaf extracts and stem cells mitigating GDM-induced complications, particularly focusing on renal function, oxidative stress, pancreatic cell regeneration. Methods: Measurements were made gravid female rats with without intraperitoneal administration Streptozotocin (35 mg/kg body weight). Biochemical analyses conducted to evaluate function markers (urea, uric acid, creatinine) stress parameters (malondialdehyde, glutathione, superoxide dismutase levels). Histopathological immunohistopathological evaluations kidney tissues performed using hematoxylin eosin staining specific (p53, Insulin, PCNA) assess cellular changes. Results: The diabetic group exhibited significantly elevated levels urea, creatinine (p<0.01) compared control group. Treatment reduced these levels. Malondialdehyde but showed marked improvement treatment groups. Additionally, glutathione activities diminished (p<0.05) increased following treatment. revealed regeneration improved tissue morphology groups Conclusion: Stem exhibit significant ameliorating dysfunction, damage associated GDM, highlighting their role enhancing
