Cancer is a noncommunicable disease burden and the second‐leading cause of death worldwide. Novel medications drug possibilities are sought everyday throughout world in pursuit cancer therapy. Colorectal as one leading cancers across globe can be treated effectively using TCM via decreasing incidence increasing survival patients. Gallic acid (GA) an effective polyphenol used to treat several disorders including cancer. Our hypothesis was set determine that GA possesses cytotoxic effects on CRC cells apoptosis and/or autophagy could rationale behind mechanism. Therefore, current study, we investigated human colorectal adenocarcinoma HT‐29 mechanisms such effects. The IC 50 for evidenced by MTT assay 37.08 μ g/mL. outcomes indicated changes MMP result formation or accumulation exogenous ROS at dose. Consequently, induce mitochondrial‐ ER‐stress‐induced canonical other than contributing induction ferroptosis quantitative PCR western blotting. results indicate agent management preclinical level valuable candidate clinical trials.
