Abstract The gut microbiota plays a crucial role in safeguarding host health and driving the progression of intestinal diseases. Despite recent advances remarkable correlation between dysbiosis extraintestinal cancers, underlying mechanisms are yet to be fully elucidated. Pathogenic microbiota, along with their metabolites, can undermine integrity barrier through inflammatory or metabolic pathways, leading increased permeability translocation pathogens. dissemination pathogens circulation may contribute establishment an immune-suppressive environment that promotes carcinogenesis organs either directly indirectly. oncogenic cascade always engages disruption hormonal regulation responses, induction genomic instability mutations, dysregulation adult stem cell proliferation. This review aims comprehensively summarize existing evidence points potential malignant transformation such as liver, breast, lung, pancreas. Additionally, we delve into limitations inherent current methodologies, particularly challenges associated differentiating low loads gut-derived microbiome within tumors from sample contamination symbiotic microorganisms. Although still controversial, understanding contribution translocated metabolites pathological continuum chronic inflammation could offer novel foundation for development targeted therapeutics.

Abstract Circular RNA (circRNA), a subtype of noncoding RNA, has emerged as significant focus in research due to its distinctive covalently closed loop structure. CircRNAs play pivotal roles diverse physiological and pathological processes, functioning through mechanisms such miRNAs or proteins sponging, regulation splicing gene expression, serving translation templates, particularly the context various cancers. The hallmarks cancer comprise functional capabilities acquired during carcinogenesis tumor progression, providing conceptual framework that elucidates nature malignant transformation. Although numerous studies have elucidated role circRNAs cancers, their functions development chemoradiotherapy resistance remain unexplored clinical applications circRNA‐based translational therapeutics are still infancy. This review provides comprehensive overview circRNAs, covering biogenesis, unique characteristics, functions, turnover mechanisms. We also summarize involvement relevance biomarkers therapeutic targets, especially thyroid (TC). Considering potential fascination therapeutics, “Ying‐Yang” dynamic regulations TC warrant vastly dedicated investigations.

Background In recent years, a novel animal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) model was established by administering erythropoietin (EPO) to wild-type (WT) mice. However, the influence of EPO on murine fecal microbiota remains uninvestigated. Therefore, this study aims explore potential association between gut changes and AAA development in model. Methods results Adult male C57BL/6 mice were used establish intraperitoneal administration recombinant human at dosage 10,000 IU/kg daily for 28 consecutive days. Hematoxylin eosin (H&E) Elastin Van Gieson (EVG) staining revealed that increased wall thickness diameter, accompanied enhanced degradation elastic lamina. The 16S rRNA—sequencing data deposited Sequence Read Archive (PRJNA1172300). LEfSe analysis Akkermansia, Lawsonibacter, Clostridium, Neglectibacter significantly associated with EPO-induced development, while Lactobacillus, Alistipes, Limosilactobacillus, Eisenbergiella showed significant negative correlations. Analysis using Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) prediction module differences metabolic pathways two groups, including alanine, aspartate glutamate metabolism; cysteine methionine pyrimidine carbon ABC transporters; oxidative phosphorylation pathways. Conclusions dysbiosis, particularly Alistipes abundance, may contribute formation via inflammation, stress, dysfunction. While advances research, its limitations underscore need validation mechanistic studies. Future work should prioritize multi-omics integration cross-model comparisons unravel complex microbiota-AAA axis.
