Social isolation and loneliness seriously impact the physical mental quality of health longevity. are important yet neglected social determinants for people all ages. Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) among leading causes death globally, has been linked to worsening outcomes CVD. This review aims evaluate loneliness/social/self-isolation adults living with any cardiovascular disease. A systematic search was done from inception 23rd January 2025 on PubMed Google Scholar, 4,198 articles were synthesized; these screened duplication, duplicate removed. total 3,606 underwent title abstract screening, 3,505 removed following predefined eligibility criteria. One hundred one full-text only 13 included qualitative analysis. We aged 18 above alone/socially isolated analyzed studies across eight countries, encompassing 63,978 participants, whom 12,110 identified as alone or socially isolated, 7,264 male 3,745 female participants; study while two didn't mention number participants. The findings provide compelling evidence that is associated adverse disease outcomes, including increased mortality, recurrent events, higher hospitalization rates. Addressing should be a priority in prevention management. Integrating interventions could significantly improve prognosis individuals CVD, ultimately reducing morbidity mortality rates this vulnerable population.

Aim Sarcopenia is a prevalent comorbidity among older patients with heart failure. This study aimed to evaluate the differences between sarcopenia diagnosed using Asian Working Group for (AWGS) 2014 and 2019 criteria in Methods post hoc sub‐analysis of data from FRAGILE‐HF study, prospective, multicenter, observational study. The included 879 aged >65 years who were hospitalized failure decompensation could walk at discharge. was AWGS (2014 model) (2019 model). primary outcome 2‐year mortality. Results identified 186 (21.1%) model 211 (24.0%) model. Over follow‐up period, 158 (18.0%) deaths occurred. Adjusted Cox proportional hazard analysis showed that significantly associated mortality model, whereas only severe Both models significant net reclassification improvement when added baseline model: 0.358, 0.357). However, no difference observed upon direct comparison two (−0.082, P = 0.376), suggesting comparable performance. Conclusions shows strong prognostic value predicting Although similar value, particularly sarcopenia, it does not outperform Geriatr Gerontol Int 2025; ••: ••–•• .
