Taking actions with uncertain social consequences (e.g., talking strangers) is key to making new connections. How does risk-taking relate other types of such as financial gambles? Traditionally, has been studied through self-reports, whereas risk assessed behavioral tasks, these domains difficult compare. Here, we adapted a single paradigm include both and outcomes (n=96), allowing us isolate similarities distinctions between two constructs. Moreover, recruited from large undergraduate sample, (1) examine among participants depression anxiety; (2) map in the lab real-life social-network characteristics. Our results demonstrated minimal correlation at individual level, dissociable profiles across groups. These provide insights into decisions under complex uncertainties, highlight behaviors critical avenue for intervention.
