At the field of nanometer positioning and machining, high-precision tracking is a key technology micro-positioning platform which driven by voice coil motor. In this paper, the model reference adaptive system (MRAS) method has been employed to observe speed in sensorless field-oriented control (FOC) with flux weakening (FW) and maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) operations for interior permanent-magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM). This paper focuses on modified MRAS observer, which is based sigmoid function as a switching also sliding mode coefficient. The strategies are adaptation mechanism instead of PI controller. conventional PI-MRAS causes oscillations rotor speed. To solve problem, super-twisting algorithm (STA)-based proposed by utilizing function. compared methods. Additionally, it examined performance against fast terminal (FTSM), applied an terms strategies.
