Neighbourhoods are salient for many dimensions of individuals’ social and economic well-being, yet the impacts rapidly emerging digital information communication technologies (DICTs) on neighbourhoods processes within them understudied. This gap motivates this Special Issue, themes which we introduce here. We provide an overarching conceptual framework topics, conceptualisations empirical results 11 constituent research papers can be placed. Our posits multiple, mutually causal interrelationships between each element in triad neighbourhoods, individual residents’ characteristics actions.
